    Gram Sewa Sangh is a Non - Profit Charitable trust established on 31st December 1993, registered as a Non- Government Organization (Society Act) MH/874/93/NGP by the Nagpur Charity Commissioner and also registered as a charitable trust under Bombay Public Trust Act. BPT No.:-F-11264/NGP, founded by late Mr. Philip A Paranjape. Now, Mr. Vishal Philip Paranjape is the current President of this Organization. 

    Empowering under privileged Children and Women of Urban, Rural & Tribal Regions and their Holistic Development, Specially Education, Health, Agriculture and Research are some of our focal areas.

    The large population of India that has crossed one billion, is causing hardship to Government to provide minimum standard of living / necessary basic need to every individuals i.e. food, shelter, education, health, environment etc. we have a concern towards Unemployment ,below poverty, hopelessness, depression, and diverting some of them towards crime /suicide, which is fatal for society. Our GSS wants to bring smile on the poor face and work for the society.

    Our COVID-19 RELIEF WORK

    GRAM SEWA SANGH-JAFS in Nagpur, India is extending a helping hand to the sections of people affected adversely by COVID-19 and supporting the families with humanitarian aid. From identification of right beneficiaries to collaborating with district administration to the distribution of relief items adhered to COVID appropriate behaviour was on top. Till 27th November 2021, GRAM SEWA SANGH-JAFS in Nagpur will support 150 families with grocery kits and hygiene kits to the slum/village in Nagpur, India. These responses were made with the support of Japan Platform Government, Japan Asian Association and Asian Friendship Society (JAFS).


    AUGUST 2021
    GRAM SEWA SANGH/JAFS is extending relief and trying to bring innovation in immediate emergency response to many families in the slums and villages of Nagpur. The relief operations are carefully planned and implemented by the trained team of staff and volunteers.


    SEPTEMBER 2021
    As many communities have lost their source of livelihood due to COVID-19, Gram Sewa Sangh distributed more than 5,000 grocery kits and 4,000 meals through community kitchen to communities in order to support them with basic health and nutrition.


    OCTOBER 2021
    The COVID-19 pandemic has inflicted immense misery and suffering on people leaving daily-wage earners, and homeless struggling for essentials like food for survival. 150 Grocery kits containing essential dry ration distributed to 150 households/families.


    NOVEMBER 2021
    We, GSS/JAFS, responded to the pandemic by pushing all the boundaries and reaching out to the most marginalized and vulnerable groups. Through our COVID relief initiatives, we were able to touch more than 5000 lives in many slums/villages of Nagpur.

    Children Welfare Program


    Gram Sewa Sangh Nagpur focuses on education for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labor, children of poorest of the parents, street and runaway children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered. Their parents are mainly working as labors in construction sites or work as auto drivers, rickshaw pullers, vegetable vendors, or domestic help. We motivate their parents through counseling to send their children for remedial classes conduct by Gram Sewa Sangh Nagpur. 

    In order to empower every child with education, Gram Sewa Sangh Nagpur has been providing educational material to these poor children living in slum who attend Government Schools. We provide educational material consisting of text books, notebooks, geometry box, pencils, pens, and school uniforms, clothes, shoes, school bag, lunch box. We select the candidates by personal visits to their homes to assess the family background. We work towards improving the basic literacy and numeracy skills of children and provide vocational and skills training leading to job opportunities for youth from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We not only provide them with an opportunity to learn, but a sense of dignity and purpose. We also conduct awareness programs for them. Since its establishment, more than 1500 underprivileged children have directly benefited from the Gram Sewa Sangh Nagpur.
